One of my latest photo shoots and a fantastic experience in one of the newest museums in Rio de Janeiro. Designed by Bernardes + Jacobsen Arquitetura, The Museu de Arte do Rio, was built inside the remodeled interiors of the Palacete Dom João, an early-twentieth-century palace beside Mauá Square in Rio’s Porto Maravilha. It blends the new and the old thru its “wave” inspired roof and a suspended structure/passage way that connects to the old imperial palace. The main building introduces the future of architecture in Brazil.
